Position Overview:
Conduct administrative and criminal investigations under the supervision of the Intelligence & Investigative Division. Responsibilities include:
Handling confidential investigations of criminal activity and misconduct.
Interviewing witnesses, complainants, and subjects using approved procedures.
Collecting evidence and preparing clear, impartial investigation reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years investigative experience as an Internal Investigation Detective (or comparable law enforcement experience).
Maryland Police Officer certification within the last 3 years.
U.S. citizenship or resident alien status, at least 21 years old.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience investigating employee misconduct or criminal activity.
Experience preparing administrative and criminal reports.
Special Requirements:
Pass background check, oral interview, physical, polygraph, and psychological evaluations.
Be able to carry and demonstrate proficiency with firearms.
Subject to 24/7 call-in and substance abuse testing.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be assessed based on experience, education, and skills. Selected applicants will complete a written report-writing assessment.
