The purpose of the Infection Control and Linkage to Care Coordinator position is to assist with monitoring the contractors’ Infection Control Program. This position will assist with monitoring the quality and standard of healthcare provided by contractors for compliance with requirements enumerated in DPSCS contracts and policy as it pertains to screening, testing, treatment and reporting of all infectious diseases; review the quality of care at facilities via the quality improvement audit process; and work with the contractors to ensure accurate monthly submission of infectious disease data.
This position requires regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans and/or policies. This position will act as the department liaison with MDH, Baltimore City Health Department and other Local Health Departments on issues surrounding HIV and HCV, training, policy and procedure, data development and management and other reportable infectious diseases.
This position is also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of EPHR data collection systems to assist with reporting and quality improvement recommendations related to infectious diseases. This position will work closely with ITCD to ensure appropriate documentation is available to assist with this effort.
This position will work collaboratively with the department’s Agency Contract Operations Managers (ACOMs), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Nurses, and the Death Review Nurse in the oversight of the Infection Control Programs and shall follow through with request for corrective actions and liquidated damages assessment for contract non-compliance.
Education: Master's degree in any health related field.
Experience: At least two years of experience monitoring an infectious disease program- including data collection, analysis, and reporting via spreadsheets.
