Supervise parolees in the community; conduct home visits, job checks, and violation investigations.
Apply evidence-based assessment, case planning, and supervision techniques.
Update Colorado Transition Accountability Plan (CTAP) and monitor parolee compliance.
Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and guidance.
Investigate violations, impose sanctions, and present cases at hearings.
Maintain proficiency in firearms, CPR, first aid, and arrest control.
On-call duties; function as Peace Officer (C.R.S. 16-2.6-101).
Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years combined coursework/experience in criminal justice, corrections, social work, or counseling.
Colorado P.O.S.T. certification or eligibility.
At least 21 years old, valid driver’s license, no felony/domestic violence history.
Stress tolerance, self-control, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
Ability to work with diverse, high-risk populations.
Preferred: prior Colorado state experience, parolee advocacy, community supervision experience, Evidence-Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing.
