The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. Support the Community Investment Initiative (CII) Director in the implementation and administration of special projects and reform initiatives within DPSCS, in support of the CII. The Community Investment Project Administrator (CIPA) will assist in partnering with communities impacted by crime and violence. The CIPA will assist in the investment of public and private resources in non-institutional settings, to create safer and stronger neighborhoods through a multitude of locally-driven strategies to improve overall community well-being, and will support the Director to implement other statewide initiatives for DPSCS as assigned.
-Identify eligible participants for the program from within DPSCS. Refer to the CII director those eligible participants to the program and assist in the monitoring of their participation.
-Contribute to work plans, timelines, funding proposals, the monitoring of funding, the development of the scope of work for RFP/NOFA as needed, training and meeting agendas, and implementing plans for the CII or related projects.
-Prepare for the CII director bi-weekly updates on CII progress and other duties assigned. Draft charging memos for workgroup areas of focus i.e. evaluation, funding/financing, policy/legislation, target population.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work.

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
