The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking a Task Force Analyst for the Intelligence and Investigative Division (IID), Task Force Unit (TFU). This position reports directly to the Commander of the Task Force and works off-site at the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Strike Force location in Baltimore, Maryland.
The TFA works closely with investigators from the OCDETF Strike Force and the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO). The role involves:
Conducting structured analysis of events and all-source research
Preparing written assessments for policy, intelligence, and law enforcement communities
Applying critical thinking to resolve complex problems and deliver actionable information
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Six years of administrative or professional work
Substitutions allowed:
30 college credit hours = 1 year of experience (up to 4 years)
Bachelor’s degree + 2 years administrative/professional work = meets experience requirement
Master’s degree = meets experience requirement
U.S. Armed Forces commissioned officer staff experience = year-for-year substitution
Selective Qualifications:
One year of experience working with a federal task force
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of law enforcement experience in research, analysis, and criminal reporting
Degree in Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university
Licenses/Certifications:
May require a valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license
