Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and dual supervision, institutional administrative support and program services
to include: YOIS, Education, Chaplin, Recreation, Horticulture, Cafeteria, Shock Program and Substances Abuse.
Supervises program services administrative support in the routine planning, developing, coordinating, scheduling and operations within the medium security institution.
Conducts personal announced and unannounced monitoring of administrative support and program services activities physically visiting every area to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of services.
Meet monthly with all program services and administrative support section supervisors for information sharing and for planning.
Assist the Warden with special projects, assignments, committees, etc.
Collaborates and cooperates with local community in obtaining services that will benefit the inmate population.
On Call.
Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

A bachelor's degree and supervisory experience in a correctional environment or relevant military experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
A high school diploma and Ten (10) years of experience in correctional, security, military, or police work, including five (5) years of supervisory experience in a correctional environment.
A degree in criminal justice or a related degree may substitute for up to 1/2 of required supervisory experience (associate = 2 years, bachelor's and above = 2 1/2 years).
Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
