Job Responsibilities:

• Provides executive-level leadership and oversight of Central Classification and Inmate Records.

• Oversees inmate classification, housing assignments, transfers, records, sentence calculations, and reception and evaluation.

• Directs statewide classification and restrictive housing processes and ensures compliance with agency policies and applicable laws.

• Provides strategic direction and supervision to classification and records personnel and oversees policies, training, and staff performance.

• Participates in agency-wide planning and decision-making and represents the agency in legal proceedings as required.

• Position requires travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, corrections, public administration, social sciences, business administration, or a related field.

• 10 years of progressively responsible corrections experience, including 5 years of supervisory/management experience.

• Knowledge of correctional classification systems, inmate housing and custody assignments, sentence administration, reentry programs, applicable laws and regulations, and policy development.
